BBC iplayer Downloads

Hello all together!

I grabbed a lot of shows from BBC since years with different programs like Adobe HDS and Youtube-dl,Livestreams with DTA...

Now I try to grab shows from here:http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/group/p04r9yt8

Adobe HDS Link Creator on Firefox is sometimes finding and sometimes not a link,youtube-dl couldn't find nothing...

Is there another way for grabbing the best quality stream,m3u8?

I try to download different videos from the BBC site,no success with Youtube -dl,got followoing error message:

I'm using a vpn to catch the videos from outside UK

Any idea what is to do?

How can I find on another way the m3u8?

I think the BBC have upgraded/changed their streaming , I had to use get_iplayer to grab what I wanted (radio shows)

[Case]

When I tried, youtube-dl started a downloading through my VPN just fine, after shortly starting and pausing a video in the browser for a chosen performance. I had to click a few boxes away (18+ etc.). Perhaps that browser action opened access to certain files from my IP that youtube-dl could make use of?
As this free VPN is bandwidth limited to about 500 MB, 3.79GiB didn’t seem like a good idea to continue on.

Hi folks!


I try out to go back to an earlier version of Youtube-dl and it works now!

So I do following:

youtube-dl -g link to the video

m3u8 open in browser as a text file

created with DTA a batch script for downloading all the segments

ts joiner for muxing the downloaded files into one file

just wanted to chime in and say the downloads work with TVdownloader 1.7 hui version from that website.
