  1. I am noticing when I zoom this DVD video in that I am seeing blue and or purple color spots on top of the original colors. Its easy to see in the purple on the characters eye and the blue on his shirt. It can also be seen in the girls brown hair pretty easily.

I am also noticing what looks like yellow/green color spots all over most of the other colors and in darker areas.

How can I reduce or remove these artifacts?

  2. First, use Mpeg2Source's DCT ringing filters.

    Code:
    Mpeg2Source("filename.d2v", CPU2="ooooxx")
Then use a 2d or 3d noise filter. 3d will be better at retaining detail in still portions of the frame.

Why do you suggest Mpeg2source's ringing filters and not a different one like hqdering? Are the built in ones better removing it?

Which 3d noise filter would you recommend? are fft3df and dfttest supposed to be the better ones?

  4. I did what you said but every time I try to use Mpeg2Source("filename.d2v", CPU2="ooooxx") like you said, I get this problem.
