I recently purchased a ATI TV-Wonder and have had some luck recording to MPEG-1 (this seems to work just fine) quality is good and i've had no real problems to speak of.

however, the files i record useualy end up being 1.4 to 2.2GB in size and i want to encode to DivX to trim them down.

I'm using VirtualDub 1.4d to convert my video files
using

Video Compression:
DivX Mpeg-4 Codec (4.0 a50)
using the default settings

Audio Compression:
DivX Audio
using 64kbps, 44 kHz, stereo for DivX

i've tried using the 128 kbps, 44kHz, stereo but it just craps out and dosn't convert... i'm using the 64kbps because it works...

what the problem is...
once i encode to DivX the sound seems to have a 3 to 4 second delay... and isn't at all useable...

Am i doing something wrong?
