    Howdy,

I've never had a problem with Handbrake rotating videos before but I just ran it with a video from my phone (GS7) and the result was rotated 90 degrees.

Can I tell before waiting for Handbrake to run that it's going to rotate the video? Does it always rotate videos from phones?

I don't want it to rotate the video at all but now I have to run the converter again and put in the , --rotate=4 type thing which is just a waste of time.

    Thanks.

  2. The video from your phone is already rotated. There is a flag in the video that tells the player how to un-rotate the image. Apparently Handbrake isn't responding to that flag. Check the original video with MediaInfo. It will show you the rotation flag.

I reran Handbrake and put the --rotate=4 in there but it was still rotated.
I installed Media Info and found one screen that says "Rotation: 90"

Any guidance on how I can get it to not rotate?
