  1. Hi First post sort of a newbie but not really
    Anyway on to the point
    Iv been using dvd2svcd for a while know but was i was wondering if I purchase a surrond sound speaker set thinging of the yammah tts set. Will I be able at the most to get dolby prologic sound from my svcd's.
    If not what steps would I have to go through to get pro logic sound.
    Ie dvd2avi tools etc

  3. Dolby pro logic is an Analog surround sound sound system giving 4 channel output. The surround info is encoded somehow onto the standard analog stereo signal. So if you rip a DVD with pro-logic sound this should be preserved thru the conversion process. In oder to get Dolby Digital 5.1 you would need to multiplex your VCD/SVCD with the digital soundtrack taken straight from the DVD. This is not standards compliant for VCD/SVCD and your player may not work with it but I have heard of a number of people having success with this. Search the form and howtos for more info or try doom9.org for guides and info.
