Hello everybody,
First of all, I would like to thank everyone in this great forum for their priceless efforts.
My question is:
I have a plain text(Notepad) and I want to convert it to a subtitle file(.srt). Once I used YouTube method by auto-sync. Can I use the software "subtitle Edit" for this task? if not, please give me a clue.
Any help is appreciated!
Thank you!

What do you mean by "plain text". SRT subtitles are plain text too, as are many other text based subtitle formats. What kind of formatting do your "plain text" subtitles have? Post a short sample.

Google has some automatic timing/captioning via voice recognition.

I'm note aware of any offline subtitle editor app with such a function. (which doesn't mean it doesn't exist, only that I don't know)
Usually such things are done manually for perfect timings e.g. using Aegisub: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w6zXR6Bg7fU
Question: If you already know how to do it using Youtube why don't you keep using that?Last edited by sneaker; 22nd Jun 2017 at 04:16.

Thanks a lot for your reply. I's sorry if my question is not clear because I am not professional in subtitling. Anyway, What i meant by "plain text" is a text without starting and ending timing as the image below shows.

I hope this is clear,
Thank you -

You will have to add the start and stop times yourself - fairly easy with Subtitle Workshop etc etc.

I think voice recognition is a difficult problem of computer science. Not sure that anyone else has it like Google and their cloud/infrastructure/data. It seems to be out-of-scope for at least most freeware.
Are you talking about the upload time being too big because your Internet is too slow or Youtube taking too long? Maybe instead of uploading the full videos you can upload only the audio with some small, highly compressed dummy video (e.g. all black or sth. like that). Then uploading would be faster.
