    Greetings,

I tried loading a movie using the MPC-HC, but when I tried to load subtitle they were on strange unreadable language (for me at least). The subtitles I tried to load were in English, so there shouldn't be any problems with the formats, I am using Windows 10 Pro x64 English version. I tried changing regions from the Administrative panel, changing formats from the player, and loading every possible subtitle file for the current movie. Some help will be appreciated.

    Thank you for your time,
    Kind Regards!

Are they? Don't look like that to me. How did you determine they are English?

Hmm, I downloaded them to be in English, I guess they should be.

  4. But they aren't, right? Either you made an error or they were mislabeled.

Well, have you really download the English subtitle?

Simply using the "s" key will cycle through the subtitles available in/with that file (regardless of the language). MPC-HC simply reads the file and displays it, it doesn't convert a file into another language. So as noted above, the file you have is very likely not English. If it's an .srt file, you can open it with any text editor or notepad and view it to confirm.
