boost audio on mp4 video file

Hi all, I need a quick way to boost the volume of a mp4 video file. Thanks in advance.

I'd probably try Audacity. Most times it can open the audio of a video file you drop into it.
And boosting volume usually adds noise, so a bit of selective filtering may also help.
I've used Virtual Dub to mux the modified audio back into the video file and also extract
the original if Audacity doesn't open it.

AviDemux is another option if you don't need much in the way of filtering.
