    Ok, I am totally new at this but when burning a movie do i have to encode it first.
    Couldnt cut it as a poor man stealin

    Did you read the how to section on DVD Rip or Convert.

    The movie needs to be encoded in the standard vcd .mpg format before burning the movie to a cd.
