    hi
    i have a video file with the format .vob. i have just one file.
    the problem is when i play it in my laptop in window media player or vlc player it play well but after some seconds the time stop on slider in bottom.
    but video still play with audio perfectly.
    i am not able to skip or forward the video.
    so tell me what to do.
    it is a very important video for me and i don,t have its dvd disc.

    Just revert it back to it's original MPEG2 video....lots of free stuff can easily do that. Me personally I'd use AviDemux(ignore the name, it does MUCH more than "avi").
    Load the VOB into Avidemux, allow it to "index" the clip.
    COPY
    COPY
    Format: MPEG-PS
    name and save new clip with .mpg - done.

  4. Try to remux using mkvtoolnix. (but keep original .vob if file is important to be sure)
