    need some help :-

    1. I wanna convert my movie to svcd and im using TMPGenc. what settings is the best? coz i want to play it on the VCD Player.

    2. and, i just encode one movie from divxavi to SVCD. it came out like 1.5 gig. but i can't seem to 'cut' it into half.

    Please answer both of my questions above please. that would be greatful

    P.S : if ya have any good templates please send to me

  2. If you want to play your SVCD in a VCD player use the PAL or NTSC SVCD template that came with TMPGEnc. The choice of PAL or NTSC depends on the TV you have.
    You can also use TMPGEnc to cut your MPEGs. Goto "MPEG tools" under "File" and then select the "Merge/Cut" tab. Make sure you select Super Video CD in the pull down menu and then select the file you want to cut. There is a howto to get you started on the left in "Edit" under "How To".

    Since you're working with SVCD (MPEG2) make sure you have the proper codecs installed. Installing a software DVD player on your PC will give you the MPEG2 codecs.
