    Hi!

I have capture card up to 1920x1080.
I want to capture from device with resolution 1920x1200, what outputs error at viewing by capture device.
For this reason (source is VGA) I'm using cheap VGA to Composite and S-Video Converter and then to device which scales it up to 1440x900.
You now know that worst quality loss is in conversion to CVBS or SVHS, even then signal is scaled up...

Exists any direct downscaler of 1920x1200 WUXGA video to 1680x1050 WSXGA+ video?
I mean simple downscaling device, nothing more, nothing less, best with VGA input.
Various up/downscalers existing and supports more that I need and offers much more what I want - and it is visible in price.

I want to buy not precious device which is downscaler only and has this downscaling mode.
    Can anybody help me?

    Thank you very much.

Unless you can find something used on ebay, there is probably nothing that can do what you want at the price you want to pay.

I found nothing new for less than $200. (That is $200 for an item sold in the USA, not in the price that would be charged in Europe.) This is the item: https://www.startech.com/AV/Converters/Scalers/vga-hdmi-converter~VGA2HDPRO2

More info on the source might provide better answers, i.e. if this is your Commodore 128, why scale it up so much in the first place?

If it's actually 1920x1200 VGA from a modern PC, possibly the Open Source Scan Converter? No idea what its upper limits are.

No, this I need for other retro computer. Or better to say reborn retro computer.
Enhanced Commodore 65 - new computer with name Mega 65.
It has native resolution 1920x1200, of course it uses scaling for generating screen 640x200, or better to say - default display it 640x200 in frame 1920x1200, but is possible to use up to 1920x1200 resolution - no matter of resolution used, it always produces hardware output 1920x1200...

It doesn't appear that the OSSC will work for 1920x1200 60Hz input. The specs for the OSSC from videogameperfection.com say the following:

    Supported input resolutions

    240p/288p/480i/576i 15khz
    25Khz medium-res modes
    480p/576p/720p 31khz

Mega 65 is new computer, currently in development FPGA based rebirth of Commodore 65 - it has true VGA 1920x1200 output.
