I know it's been a while since there has been a post here, but at the moment this is the only thing on the internet I can find that comes close to downloading private Sproutvideo's ..

The problem is the same as some other people have. I bought a course which has video's. I would like to also download these video's for my own private use as backup for if the course ever stops/goes offline. I've tried TubeDigger and had excelent results, but only with the trial version. The full version crashes the moment I either join the website or try tinkering with the settings of its browser and I cannot seem to get that to work on my machine.

I also tried following the steps provided in the earlier posts, meaning: starting the video, using the network monitor of Firefox to look for the URL and downloading it that way with ffmpeg. However, I cannot seem to find the correct URL to put into my command control. I have the embeded video URL and I can see hls2 version, but not the one that starts with "https://videos.sproutvideo.com/mp?url" ... I used Agent Switcher to change to IOS, but that doesnt seem to work.

What I've tried so far: Other browsers, starting the browser in another compatibility and a shtton of addons.

I hope someone can help me get the correct "mp?url" so I can try downloading it through ffmpeg. Am I using the wrong browser? The wrong Agent Switcher? At this point I have no idea anymore..

Im not misleading people at all. I just wish I could follow the normal guide which was posted at the beginning of this post. But that has been a few years ago and is not working for me. Obviously I'm doing something wrong but it's hard to tell what. I'm not computer savvy

You still mislead people because you were trying cracked version of TubeDigger. Just tell from where did you download "full" version?
Or perhaps do you have TubeDigger's license key?

I found the index.m3u8 url and the 1080.m3u8 url.

I tried the index.m3u8 url with streamlink with my actual user agent, and I get this error (with the actual URL redacted manually by me after the fact): [stream.hls][error] Failed to fetch segment 0: Unable to open URL: https://hls2.videos.sproutvideo.com/redacted/redacted/video/1080_00000.ts (403 Client Error: Forbidden for url: https://hls2.videos.sproutvideo.com/redacted/redacted/video/1080_00000.ts)
