Hello. I'm working in iMovie with a 1h40m HD camcorder source (15gb mov file) that has 2m removed from the timeline. When I render/export/share to 1080p, iMovie estimates the file size to be 16gb, but after running for over 6h, it fails because my disk that had 40gb free space gets full, and I see two mp4.xxxxxxxxxxxxx files that are 27gb and 11gb. Any ideas why the export files total more than twice the size of the source file? I'll clear more free space on the disk and try again.

    Thanks!

Because your output bitrate is set much higher in iMovie than the source input file.
