  1. Hi.
I've downloaded MKVToolNix 11.0.0 (64bit) from videohelp with the hope of using mkvmerge. I've installed it and everything but when I try to open mkvmerge, a CMD screen comes up and then disappears in an instant. I try it with MKVToolNix open in the background, still the same thing happens.

I've Googled around but couldn't find a solution.

    I use Windows 7 64-bit. Please help.

  2. Start mkvtoolnix-gui.exe if you need to use a GUI. mkvmerge.exe is a command-line application.

  3. So I have to use the mkvtoolnix-gui to merge videos?
But I saw a guy on YouTube and he's merging videos on mkvmerge-gui.

  4. mkvtoolnix-gui is the replacement of mkvmerge-gui. mkvmerge-gui was removed in 2015. mkvtoolnix-gui has the same features (plus more).

For appending drag&drop the first file onto mkvtoolnix-gui. Then in the source file list right-click on file1, click "Append files" and choose the second part. Then "Start multiplexing" at the bottom. Not much different than mkvmerge-gui.
