Dubbing music onto DVCAM tape

I have several DVCAM tapes where the video was edited on Sony's DSR30 recorder and would like to know the best way to insert music onto the existing soundtrack. Can this be effectively done on the DSR30 or do I need some other device. Thanks Mike

You can, see pg 45 of your manual -- but they recommend making a safety first.

Personally, I would load the show into an NLE, make the changes with finer control, and output losslessly to another tape.
