    I have an EXE that opens a standalone player (exported from a DVR) and has some video embedded in it. I'd like to extract the raw video so I don't have to play it in their player.

  3. Well, it depends a lot on the .EXE itself. As davexnet said, MAYBE you can extract the contents with 7-Zip or with UniExtract (or with something else).

    But if the .exe uses non-standard "packaging" OR/AND is encrypted, then capturing the video during playback will be the only workaround.
