Downloading youtube videos with VLC Media Player, quick question

When I do the "Save As" from youtube what format should I be saving it as? Which would be the greatest quality? Thanks.

1) consider what I said as wrong .
2) you can't "save as" the video you are watching . It is an other process , you have to follow .
