  1. Hi i have video in standard dv avi size 720 by 576.

I need to export this in mpg2 848 by 480

Premiere 6 cannot do this even with the ligos mpg plugin.

From what I understand it's a limitation within Premiere itself.

Has anyone tried this before? Are there any standalone mpeg 2 encoders that you would recommend that can do 848 by 480?

    Thanks.

  2. TmpGenc could probaably do it but what do you want this partcular resolution for? It doesnt seem to fit any of the standards I am familiar with!

  3. Hi Bugster

Since I posted the question, I have tried it on TmpGenc and LSX Mpeg Encoder 3.5 (demo).

Both seem to be able to do this weird frame size export.

I am quoting for a job for end result on a plasma screen, hence the weird size...need to confirm I can do this first...and FYI the LSX demo works great, I'm still testing the settings for TmpGenc as I type this...

    Thanks for the advice.

  4. Tmpgenc works great! Quality and user interface much better than Ligos.

However after encoding there is a 9 dot logo on the right side of the screen. Is there any way to get rid of this?

There's no mention of this in the license.txt

Do I hafta get the plus version?

  5. Sorry, I have never seen any sort of Logo on TmpGenc output, so I have no idea where it came from. Are you sure its not there in the original avi!

  6. Hi Bugster

Yes I'm very sure it's not in the original avi.
