Hello all!!
I have a problem. I've been given a MP4 file, size 18Gb and it is supposed to be a recording full Hd of a wedding. But when you open it, there is only black, 1920x320 aprox, no sound, no time mapping. On the other hand, there is no error, if the video players (WMP, VLC, divX, etc...) do not detect that the file is a video file, it should show an error, but it doesn't. When you try to import it into some edition software, then yeah, the error appears.
I was about to give up on this, but well, the file really takes 18Gb of data, so, It must be something. I don't think if it is a weird camera format that I don't know, or maybe the data is corrupted, but everything around this file is so weird. And I am a professional camarographer and editor, so I have knowledge about codecs, file formats and how to handle them. But this one got me.
Any suggestions?
Thank you very much!!
