Page load times can be measured in minutes. It's been like this consistently for quite some time now (weeks, at least), while the entire rest of the internet loads just fine.
Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays!

Works just fine here. Maybe it's a problem with your ISP or the routing to Europe.
-
I have zero issues with any other site. I think I've changed ISP since first noticing the issue, although I'm not 100% sure on the timing.
-
Maybe a problem with the changeover from http to https? That was done in the last few weeks.
Try clearing the cookies for VH and restarting the browser.
You could also ping the site and see what the response time is.
From a command prompt: ping videohelp.com

I tried a browser that's never been here before, it was just as slow.

No server problems. Must be some network issues. Can you try download a file like Potplayer and see how the speed is.
Or direct link for mkvtoolnix: https://www.videohelp.com/download/mkvtoolnix-64bit-10.0.0.7z
And you must fix your signature image. Only https sources are allowed.
edit: I have removed all signatures with http-image links(no https).Last edited by Baldrick; 25th Mar 2017 at 17:20.

Since yesterday I can no longer access the site via http://www.vcdhelp.com. Is the domain no longer active?

Try turn off javascript and see if it loads faster. Maybe some script that blocks the rendering.
-
Some browsers come with dev tools to analyze the page, e.g. the network loading times of the elements. Try it.
https://developers.google.com/web/tools/chrome-devtools/
https://developer.mozilla.org/en/docs/Tools -
Are all pages slow? Like www.videohelp.com/software/MKVtoolnix
If you can download files fast it must be something that blocks the site rendering. In for example Chrome turn on Developer tools under More tools. Click on the Network tab. Reload the forum page and see if you something that loads really slow.
It looks like:
-
It seems to spend most of its time just 'Waiting for www.videohelp.com'.
-
Very strange. I have never seen the Status code 304 (see https://www.w3.org/Protocols/HTTP/HTRESP.html ). It should be 200.
See also http://www.telerik.com/blogs/understanding-http-304-responses -
I just hit F5 on this page after seeing the dev tools suggestion in this thread in order to generate that last screenshot. Hitting Ctrl+F5 results in this.
-
Okey. It has nothing to do with the 304 code then.
Maybe try reboot your router. It might cache the old forum.videohelp.com ip address. If you are using a router then.
And can you try do a tracert from the command prompt? type tracert forum.videohelp.com and copy the result(you can remove your own ip and first ip-addresses).
It looks like
Code:Tracing route to forum.videohelp.com [95.211.211.134] over a maximum of 30 hops: 1 <1 ms <1 ms <1 ms router.asus.com [192.168.1.1] 2 * * * Request timed out. 3 11 ms 7 ms 8 ms lib-bbr-1-be10-1 4 18 ms 16 ms 17 ms lib-core-1-be1 5 20 ms 16 ms 16 ms nap-core-1-be 6 17 ms 22 ms 15 ms mtc-peer-1-be 7 17 ms 29 ms 21 ms as16265-10g-sk1.sthix.net [192.121.80.32] 8 36 ms 50 ms 43 ms be-15.bb01.ams-01.leaseweb.net [31.31.34.10] 9 41 ms 40 ms 40 ms xe-11-2-3.br01.ams-01.nl.leaseweb.net [31.31.38.89] 10 50 ms 41 ms 41 ms te-0-3-0-2.cr05.ams-01.leaseweb.net [81.17.32.165] 11 41 ms 41 ms 42 ms videohelp.com [95.211.211.134] Trace complete.

Do you have a different PC/Phone/Tablet you can test? Different router you can test (at least restart it once by pulling the power plug)?
-
My phone has the same issue on WiFi, although it's much quicker with WiFi disabled.

Last year I had a similar. Try workarounds.
Disable ads, Opera turbo button, browsec or friGate extension , Tor Browser. Ask your friends in Australia to check access?
