Randomly decided to check the forum and saw this. Stopped through a few times over the years but havent posted since 2013... Hope all of you "old timers" are doing well.

Hello old-timers.
Want my help? Ask here! (not via PM!)
FAQs: Best Blank Discs • Best TBCs • Best VCRs for capture • Restore VHS -
I signed up under a new user name as... 1. I don't like my old username 2. I don't remember the password for my old username 3. I don't have access to the email address for my old username.
Just so everyone knows that I'm not trying to duck the mods, I used to post as smearbrick1.
I remember the good old, Capmaster and Mrs. Capmaster controversies. Not to mention, the child-like naivete of Yoda and the famous LordSmurf one-liners.
It's been a LONG time. -
Strangely, I was just browsing all my old posts from as far as 16 years ago. I was such a kid back then, wow.
Still, this forum has been and continues to be excellent. Thank you everyone for the years of support! -
It's amazing how a website about video conversions can create such drama.
-
It wasn't the website, it was just a few problematic members.
-
Not the website necessarily. Any forum with varied personalities is bound to have its moments. It's a testament to people running this place that it never devolved into a black, chaotic mess; so much so that the forum had to be decommissioned (I've seen that more than once - IMDB, anyone?). That would've been a crime!
-
Yeah, I was doing more video back in the day. Still do some conversion once in a while for my media center, but mostly do computer support now. Working on helping a cable company get rid of those outdated cable boxes and switch to streaming entirely.

Next month it will be 12 years of VideoHelp for me.
As Mr. Deathray and other members have always known, "El Heggunte" is not my first handle is this forum."Programmers are human-shaped machines that transform alcohol into bugs." -
15 years for me. Still checking back.
Videohelp is a great place to be! -
20 years, maybe 21, the mind plays tricks on me. When it was born whenever that was.
-
Boo...
16 years for me. Fond memories. Just doing a drive-by. Cheers! -
Yo! I lurk here every few years! It was a lot of fun. Does redwudz still come here?
-
I am visiting the forums for years now but made an account recently, great resources for audio and video enthusiasts!!
-
I haven't come here in over a year but now with this cordoba fever thing I'm looking for stuff to do.
-
Memory Lane. Have gotten a lot of good help (& entertainment) over the years. Stop by every now & again.
-
