    My streamer, Dune HD Base 3D, doesn't play HEVC files. I get an error message; 'file cannot be played'.
    Is there a way to convert HEVC mkv to h.264 mkv?

    many thanks
    HandBrake did reduce the mkv to h.264 but it got awfully thin probably to audio parameters reduced from 6 channels DTS to dolby
    will ttry again

    use your smartphone it can play hevc 10bit material and there is miracast to stream it to a monitor
