  1. Finding the ability to view You tubes in VLC is a revelation. Much better control of the picture and many advert annoyances are eliminated.

    I'd like to try Pot Player for this. I navigated to the Open URL option. Then loaded in the
    url link as in VLC. And chose the run option at bottom. I've not gotten Pot player to play the you tube live stream.

    Can you supply a screen shot of the needed items at the URL screen?

    Downloaded the latest version, included the codecs install option and unchecked 'Include Subtitle."

    I wondered if it is necessary to keep youtube open once the url is grabbed.
    Other thing since I have no experience with playlists: can a playlist be built of these direct streams? Like Youtube's 'watch later'?

    Will report back with any new difficulties.

    F5 opens the brightness control window as I recall. I used to have some of the refinements for Potplayer on a previous install. Do those do anything for the streams URL's?
