I'm setting up a new server with https and would like to know if it works in your browser.

    https://forum.videohelp.com

I have seen some reports that it wont work perfect in windows xp.

You can login and try post but everything will be deleted later.

Thus far the HTTPS version works okay with Pale Moon, Seamonkey, K-Meleon and Internet Explorer 11 on Windows 7 x64.

Users of Chrome, Firefox, BlinkOpera and Edge should all be banned

I tested the beta site in in Windows 7 64-bit by logging in using Chrome and Firefox, but this thread wasn't available to post in. I like the secure login. No warnings that VideoHelp is a security risk.

  16. I was forced to add exception (seem certificate trust issue) beside this requirement no problems observed - tested on Pale Moon 26.5.0 with plenty of plugins (add-ons).
    Thank You Baldrick.

    Is www.letsencrypt.org not trusted?

You might have to manually refresh some pages to get all src links updated.

AFAIR Firefox and forked browser (as Pale Moon for example especially in past) use limited white-list certificate sources https://wiki.mozilla.org/CA:IncludedCAs - anything not on list need to be add manually.

After adding exception everything works perfectly.

Over here, no problems with Pale Moon 27.1.0, nor with Seamonkey 2.38 and K-Meleon

  20. I run Firefox with cookies disabled and allow an exception for http://forum.videohelp.com. I just had to add https://forum.videohelp.com to my exceptions list (allow cookies for the site).

  22. The bb_sessionhash cookie is not flagged as a secure cookie.

How do you see that? Browser?
    Quote Quote
  24. Yes. I tried different browsers. You can see it in e.g. Chrome by clicking on the lock symbol in the address bar and then clicking on the cookie list. If you select the cookies it will show for which connection types they will be send. Most only via secure connections but bb_sessionhash allows non-secure connections as well.

Hmm. How does it look like?

For me it just look like this:

Name:	cookies.png
Views:	329
Size:	19.7 KB
ID:	40866

The cookie should be saved for .videohelp.com. Any type of connection are used for all cookies.

  26. "Send for: Any kind of connection" is the problem. It should only be send via secure connection. For me that's the case for the other cookies but not for bb_sessionhash, maybe you need to clear your cookie cache.

    I don't think I will fix that.

    It works like:
If your user is explicitely reaching http://example.com, he will be redirected to https://example.com but that's too late already, the first request contained the cookie.
    Quote Quote
  28. You must be misinterpreting that sentence. It is explaining why not flagging a cookie as secure is a bad idea. If a user enters http://forum.videohelp.com the browser will send the bb_sessionhash unencrypted over the net. To avoid that you must flag the cookie as secure. Then the browser will only send the cookie via a secured connection and this problem will be avoided. That's the purpose of the flag.

I see. Then it should NOT be a problem to fix.

Searching for the setcookie in vbulletin...

I think it should work now. If you remove it and reload.
