Create IFO for VOB files

Can't find proper instruction.
I use good old ifoEdit for strip DVD movie.
But ifoEdit create VIDEO_TS.IFO only for movie VOB's.
How to create IFO for these VOB files?
VTS_01_1.VOB
VTS_04_1.VOB
...
VTS_04_6.VOB

I need simple VEDEO_TS.IFO for playin all VOB's one by one. VTS_01_1.VOB first and then movie VTS_04_1.VOB ...

Just create a large MPEG2 video file instead.

This is not about remux and demux videos.

But if you just want to play the vobs individually and not on a dvd_disk, just play them with vlc and create a playlist

Like he said. If you want multiple IFOs (one for each VTS), and a VIDEO_TS.IFO to run them all, you need to use some type of DVD authoring program.

ifoEdit will create IFOs for each of the VTS sets, but only one at a time, and it re-writes the VIDEO_TS.IFO each time, so you can't play them all.

PGCedit can do it, but it's rather cumbersome. I've not used DVDStyler, but I have to believe it's easier than PGCedit.

To have them play sequentially, first rename them all sequentially, like VTS_01_1.VOB, VTS_01_2.VOB (formerly VTS_04_1.VOB), VTS_01_3.VOB (formerly VTS_04_2.VOB)...

Then create the IFOs using IFOEdit (bottom center, Create IFOs).

That's why they were two separate VOB sets on the DVD as well.

Okay, here's another way. First open the VTS_01_1.VOB in DGIndex and Go File->Save Project and Demux Video. That will give you the audio, an M2V video and a D2V project file you can delete. Name them Part 1 or something. Then open the remaining VOBs in DGIndex, all of them at once. Save them in the same way and name them Part 2 or something. Delete the audio track that isn't the same (same number of channels, same bitrate) as the audio from the VTS_01_1.VOB.

Open Muxman and add the two video files, first the Part1 M2V, click on the 'Add' button and then Part 2. Do the same with the audio, Part 1, 'Add', Part 2. Give it a destination and 'Start'.

You could also remap the audio streams for the DVD you made in PGCEdit so the one you want is the first audio stream and then delete the other two, but that's more complicated.

DVD-lab may be "proper", but it's also not free, and hasn't been updated in 12 years. Not sure what happens if you only install the trial and don't pay for it.

DVDStyler is free, and was updated only last month.

But if DVD-lab works for you, fantastic.

DVDStyler is free and it is what it is. Alternative if nothing.

Once again, that's not what you asked originally. It's easy to do with your original DVD just by editing the IFOs a little bit using PGCEdit. There's even a current thread explaining how to do just that. Since it's your thread, did you do as _AI_ suggested?

I suggested in my last post that you keep the second one with just a single audio stream. Then, if both audios have the same characteristics, it's easy to do as I already explained.

This quite messy procedure. Especially if I need to keep all three audio streams. Two streams with one bitrate and one is different.

That's not what I suggested at all. I said:

Delete the audio track that isn't the same (same number of channels, same bitrate) as the audio from the VTS_01_1.VOB.

The second set of VOBs comes with 2 audio tracks. I said to delete one so all sets of VOBs have one audio track, and those audio tracks must have the same characteristics (same number of channels, same bitrate).

This quite messy procedure.

Not as messy as you make it out to be. Demux, remove an audio track, reauthor. And that's what you asked for in both the title for this thread and in your first post. If you had asked how to make the DVD jump from title 1 to title 2 after playing, rather than go back to the menu, there would have been different answers, answers like the ones _AI_ gave in your other thread.
