  1. Hi! I've never even used a camcorder before, I want to do a project with an elementary school class, so I just have a very simple question but I couldn't find an answer in google, probably because I don't know how to phrase it correctly.

    Basically I am just wondering, if we are shooting the movie, and recording the audio using an in-camera microphone, can I give spoken direction to the kids, while we are filming,and just selectively delete out the audio of me speaking, but keep in the dialogue that we wanted from the kids speaking?

  2. Yes, it's easy. After you have the video, extract the audio, selectively mute the parts you don't want in a free Audio Editor such as Audacity, and then add the edited audio back to the video.
