  1. I got stuck in the Surface Tablets section for a while. Does anyone here use them for photo/video editing? Any recommendations? What to look at/stay away from? I don't own a tablet of any kind. They seem like a great addition to have if you wanna work on stuff outside of home but without carrying a bulky laptop (And, more expensive).

This is new territory for me. Any help would be appreciated.

  2. I would like to find out if Surface Tablets are any good for video editing also. I purchased a Samsung 12.2 inch tablet a couple of years ago and use it daily for video viewing but not for editing. I can mirror vids from the tablet to my large screen TV also. It's also OK for doing work stuff like word processing and spreadsheet but I still prefer my Win 7 laptop for that. These Android tablets just don't have the easy way to store large files that editing video requires. It's even much harder to store any files on the external SD card on my Samsung tablet as the Android OS doesn't really like you put things on the external SD card and makes you jump hoops to do it.

  3. Surface Pro 4 (i5, 8Gb RAM) has no problems editing HD video using Edius and Premier Pro. However, would I recommend it, nope, unless it's in a dock.
The screen size is just a little too small for my liking. You can find a more capable slim laptops with a bigger screen for the same price.

I've been using a Nextbook flex nxw116qc264 since December 2016 and I like it. Running W10 at present.
It has a detachable keyboard and a 11" touch screen. Just the right size for airline carry-on luggage.
About $182US from Walmart then. Probably newer models now but I have this one:

It does work with a 128GB Micro SD card. I would not use it for editing HD video.

I still have a Asus eee netbook, but the Android OS was a bit limiting.
