The only difference between the new Pioneer UHD Blu-ray drives and their ordinary Blu ray drives is that the new Pioneer UHD Blu-ray drives can read commercially produced UHD Blu-ray discs. They will perform about the same as Pioneer's ordinary Blu-ray drives when burning discs or reading burned discs.
Nice thread hijacking attempt, BTW. This thread is about drives and software for watching commercially produced UHD Blu-ray discs with a PC, not about burning media or reading burned media, or playing 4K or 8K streaming video. If you want to discuss those things, then create your own thread.
