  1. Hello, I have a large collection of PC CD-ROM/DVD-ROM games that I want to make images of for when they inevitably get data rot. I have tried many pieces of software but none of them worked either due to copy protect or random errors. Does anyone know of a program that I can use for this?

    Software I've tried

    Nero
    alcohol 120%
    Blindwrite
    X-ripper
    CloneDVD
    Winiso
    imgburn
    infra recorder

Guess I can't help you much. ImgBurn worked just fine for me on the two discs I tested it on. It created and verified the images with no errors whatsoever. The games are several years old, but the first one I tried was from Disney, who is notorious for their DVD movies being a pain to rip, and the game disc was no problem.

Of course, considering that these games are nearly 20 years old and still haven't suffered from data rot, and that they are now so outdated that I don't have an operating system that will even play them any more, I'd be surprised if you have to worry about your game discs crashing on you, since they will likely become obsolete first.
