Have to say I'm unfamiliar with this AD for movies . . . and I'm downloading them more days than not. The closest match I can think of would be either 1) optional, additional commentary tracks, where and if present, which can be selected -- or de-selected --- in the playback of an MKV (or ISO) file via a button on the remote of your playback device, or 2) the much dreaded Russian Overdub ongoing translation found on many RU-sourced titles, like from RUtracker torrents. These very frequently take over the primary audio track, but then you are screwed because I'm unaware of any way to remove it. In those cases, if you are lucky it will just be on a separate audio track, leaving another primary audio track in the original language that remains untouched. Then the RU audio overdub track could be removed with a tool like MKVtoolnix. (Or was that MKVGUItoolnix ?) I've done this from time to time, when other alternatives could not be found. In more drastic circumstances, you might be able to drop the audio track entirely, replacing it with an EN one from another source file that happened to otherwise synchronize perfectly with the first video file. This might only work for MKVs, but they are the most prevalent type for quite a few years now. I've also done something similar via conversions into and out of DVD format, using AVStoDVD. But then you are likely also down-rezzing the film, if the source was 720P or better.
When in Las Vegas, don't miss the Pinball Hall of Fame Museum http://www.pinballmuseum.org/ -- with over 150 tables from 6+ decades of this quintessentially American art form.

  2. Sorry for the possible confusion but this is rather a TV program I'm talking about, not a DVD rip. On the TV-website you can indeed select whether you prefer with or without Audio Description but when you download it it comes by default 'with' AD and I'm wondering if there's a way to get rid of that.

You're not talking about Closed Captions either, are you ? Those are usually controllable with a setting on the TV. So, I'm still not familiar with this AD. Not something I've encountered then.
