you need fresh mpd to download. my mpd is expired.
from your video link you find 2 mpd. try both. one work.

run cmd in the same folder where mp4decrypt is

mp4decrypt --key keyID:key vid.mp4 vid_dec.mp4

you should change keyID:key to actual keyID and key and vid.mp4 to the name of your video file.
vid_dec.mp4 will be created and it will be the decrypted video.

I would need more precision on the KeyID and on the Key how to differentiate the 2 and where to find them?

first is keyID, second is key.
anyway use as mp4decrypt --key aa8be47.....:a8f3e30.... <input.mp4> <output.mp4>

Sometimes it is enough to change the 'https' protocol to 'http' but not always.

Yes and then it got deleted again when you turn it back on, it´s not helping.

By using another browser then Chrome and disabling real time and cloud based protection the download went well. Thanks for your support!

A good idea to keep multiple browsers on hand. Several of them now include an ad-blocker built in, and many sites will refuse to allow any access when that is detected -- even after you whitelist the site or temporarily turn the ad-blocker off. (Same thing happens in the case of extensions like NoScript being present.) This can get annoying, particularly when there is an article you really wanted to read, that can't be found elsewhere. Finally decided to keep one "plain Vanilla" browser (no ad-blocker, no extensions) available, just for those circumstances. This has worked for me.

I just updated from 1.18 to 1.19b. I used to be able to select a mapped network drive to download to, but now there are no options in the dialog box to select a network drive anymore. What happened, or what am I doing wrong?

Solved: Entered the full network pathname instead of trying to use the mapped drive letter.

Thanks for your support, lomero, but yes, everything was exactly the same as yesterday. The video link was included in my post (discretely hidden under the word "link", where you would never expect it), but the issue is the same for every link in this domain.

I am curious about the workaround that Zwartgallig_ has up his sleeve, however.

It doesnt need the key there is a drm free m3u8 url example >> url https://remix-cf.lwc.vrtcdn.be/remix/e9c0dd43-0bd5-4d6b-8f3f-e77d622d4268/remix_aes.ism/.m3u8 its just that the yt-dl//yt-dlp vrt nu extractor broke because the vrt changed something so only option for now is to look for the mpd url and change the end of the mpd link to remix_aes.ism/.m3u8 to download no key needed or use https://downloadgemist.nl/ or gemistdownloader and in the mean time you can open a new issue on yt-dlp for the broken vrt nu extractor

Try to download Onder Vuur and Winkracht 10 from VRTNU with TVDownloader 1.19C. Doesn't work. Only downloads a very small piece. Tried to replace "remix.ism/.mpd" with "remix_aes.ism/.m3u8" as well without succes.
