A while back I posted a few fairly simple questions about display calibration on this forum and was told to ask on AVS instead. I did, and nobody bothered to reply. I had to keep bumping it so that someone would see it. Eventually I got fed up and decided to use the report thread feature to ask a mod to change the title of my thread to "ALL REPLIES ARE JUST MY OWN BUMPS, GETTING ANNOYED". That was probably kind of immature for me to do, but whatever. Anyway, instead of doing that, a mod removed all of my bumps, causing my thread to become buried even deeper where no one would ever be able to see it. I then replied to my thread, not just to bump it but also to add a few more details. The mod then proceded to remove my reply and move the details I put in it into my first post, burying it once again. I would greatly appreciate if someone could help me out here

-c-Yes, no, maybe, I don't know, Can you repeat the question? -
I've been a member there forever. The threads are longer than any forum on the Internet and, as a result, questions often get buried or overlooked.
There are a HUGE number of display calibration threads, and I suspect that, with a little searching, you should be able to get an answer to your question, without having to start your own thread.
I think the reason you didn't get any answers is that your question "I just want to know how to go into the factory settings and make it look just a tiny bit more broadcast-safe" is very non-specific and therefore impossible to answer. This is compounded by the fact that you didn't specify the model of your Vizio TV, and the factory settings are quite different, model to model.
I have no clue what "a tiny bit more broadcast-safe" means. -
I think what I meant by 'broadcast safe' just meant fixing the problems I mentioned as much as I can without creating any new problems. I also might want to ad that some of the sd DVDS I'm referring to are homemade DVDS that were captured from vhs tapes using an old hotronic TBC to color correct them, and I might have had the chroma set a bit too high when I was capturing them, when trying to watch them on a plasma screen lots of "flickery" artifacts were visible. I somehow managed to fix this problem but I don't want to risk doing anything that will cause it agaim. And my tv is a Vizio e420i

You may not be aware that "broadcast safe" has a very specific meaning that is different from how you are defining it.
Broadcast Safe
I think this is why you didn't get more of a response to your question. -

Likely because the TV model isn't listed. And the first step over at AVS is to search for your TV brand/model. Many models have a dedicated topic.
