I would like to distribute body or head cameras to my family in order to record an event from different perspectives, (e.g. wedding, hen party, birthday). However I would like to do this in a way that does not encroach on the attire people wear, for example at a hen party the women are not going to want to wear a GoPro on their heads if they are wearing dresses and high heels, and similarly in a birthday environment the wearers should be able to enjoy the moment and forget that the video is recording.

I am looking to discuss the feasibility of an option that can record an event whilst not degrading the aesthetics of the wearer's appearance.

Please comment with any information you would like to share to help me find if such a product exists.

  2. Spy button cameras, camera glasses...I am sure you can find others. The motion in the video will make it unwatchable, motion sickness, brightness level changes, poor sound. This is all just my opinion. If I were on a stag/hen party, I am pretty certain I wouldn't want to be recorded! I would put mini cameras on tables, maybe. A few stuck around the room in strategic positions with double-sided sticky tabs might be a better option than something worn. Lots of similar devices have been tested on Youtube.

If you had an array of equal spaced cams on the perimeter, you could do a Matrix-style move and that should also allow you to translate that via a type of mocap or s3d interpretation into a 3D modeling environment. Then you could "wrap" the images as textures and show any perspective you feel like.
    LOTS of work, though.

I agree with transporterfan. Unobtrusive cameras will be spy devices. Are you going to notify everyone that they are being recorded from multiple angles? You won't get a very spontaneous event that way. The only reason it works for dreadful Reality TV is that everyone is getting paid.
