Hey everyone.
I'm a newbie on this forum and in the world of video editing in general. I'm shooting in 4K, so once I finish footage editing, I want to keep the quality high. I've learned about converting to H265/HEVC codec. Are there any software recommendations for my purpose? I've read VSDC is capable of doing that, but can't find the settings - probably it's for their PRO (paid) version only. Are there any VSDC users here to help me out?

Hello.
You know, not every software allows you to use the H265 codec. Remember, that your video card should be enough powerful. (Nvidia Geforce 1050 at least)
These editors support this codec:
Cyberlink PowerDirector
Adobe Premiere
Final Cut Pro X
Sony Vegas
If you're interested in VSDC you need to select the H264 profile at first and then H265 video codec. It's not quite intuitive, but here's video tutorial how to do it:
