  1. For some reason, when I set MeGUI to Automated 2-pass, it only ever runs the first pass. I then have to go in, change it to 2pass - 2nd pass, and run it again.

Which is a pain, because it means I can't leave encodes to run overnight.

Any ideas why it's doing this?

  4. The command line looks wrong to me.

The second pass command line appears broken. What version of MeGUI are you using? I think avs4x264mod.exe has been replaced with avs4x26x.exe, unless MeGUI uses different versions depending on the flavour of Windows.

Try switching to the development update server in MeGUI's options and running an update. The current version there is 2700. I have't problems with it. With any luck that'll fix the problem. If not, and you're not a member of doom9, post back and I'll report the bug in the MeGUI thread for you.

It's not very specific, but from the changelog, could this be the problem?

  5. Just downloaded MeGUI 2624 a couple of days ago, was previously using 2525 and had the same issue. I'll give the update a shot.

    I'm on an x64 OS.

EDIT: Now when I start MeGUI I get three errors about missing DLLs. VCOMP120, api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0, and api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0. The latter two appear to be the same thing.

Says the program can't start because they're missing, but then MeGUI opens anyway.

  6. Okay, I fixed that by running a repair installation of vc_redist. Tried a 2-pass encode with MeGUI 2700. Got exactly the same result.

  7. I've asked about it here for you. Zathor maintains MeGUI and posts in that thread frequently, or infrequently, depending on how much time he has.

  9. That's odd. I saw the error mentioned in the log file but assumed that was unrelated.
