  1. Hi,

I need to capture some cine footage (and some old vhs tape). Does Sony Vegas Pro 13 come with the anti-flicker application please? I think it's called 'BCC Flicker Fixer' or something?

For the VHS I hope to stream it onto my HDD by way of an RCA capture PCI card, then maybe work on it in Vegas.

    Thanks,
    ric

There are many kinds of flicker, from inadequate frame rates to unstable interlacing to unsynched fluorescent lights. So best to figure out what your actual problem is.

  3. Thank you,

Does BCC come with Sony Vegas Pro 13 or must it be bought separately please?

The flicker is 'hot spot' where bright areas of the frame jump about due to too much illumination. It means the original frames were underexposed and so have been boosted with brightness to compensate, and this has the negative effect of cooking up the brightest areas which start to flicker.
