It's a shot in the dark but let's try: my Onkyo AV receiver doesn't support ARC. Does some intermediary device exist? Now I have an optical cable running from the TV to the AV reciever, but I'd rather use a single HDMI cable to simply things: I'll buying a media box soon and want to use as little as possible cables.
Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays! or rip iTunes movies!

The media box will (likely) need an audio feed directly to the Receiver. Routing through the TV will typically cause an audio delay/lip sync issue.
And I've not seen a device to implement ARC, but that would introduce even more cables (ie: HDMI (from the TV) to the device and then HDMI and audio cables from the device to the Receiver).Google is your Friend
