    The .srt subtitles that I have has sentences on the same time, like this:
    99
    00:06:03,160 --> 00:06:06,800
    Test1

    100
    00:06:03,160 --> 00:06:06,800
    Test2

    The problem is that both VLC as MPC-HC first show 100 and then 99, like this:
    Test2
    Test1

    How can I solve this? Modifying the .srt subtitles by hand isn't an option as I'm talking about more than 1000 .srt files.

  2. You have overlapping timecodes.

    Subtitle Edit -> Tools -> Fix common errors.

    Change to something like this:

    99
    00:06:03,160 --> 00:06:06,800
    Test1
    Test2

    By finding a better source for the .SRTs that you use

    Overlapping timecodes are OK in (properly-authored) .SSA and .ASS, but are not OK in .SRT files.

    There isn't a better source as these CC are ripped from a television VOD service. I converted them from TTML to SRT as no non-web video player seems to support TTML subtitles.

    But then the subtitles aren't in sync all the time. Is there some way to merge them or just play by line?

  6. Subtitle Edit -> Tools -> Merge lines with same time codes...
