  1. when i'm trying to make my chicken run divx with subtitles i do so: 1) convert my *.sub to *.srt 2)then convert *.srt to *.ssa 3)then i open virtualdub and select frameserve , do those rename things and press ok but the numbers wont go forward
    what to do
    P.S Once I Got my shrek with subs done so : i did all those things , the numbers didn't go on but when i opened the shrek movie with right click(i have picaview) the numbers started to change - but not this time

    if you have .ssa files, you might want to try using avisynth instead of virtualdub...check out this post:

    Update! Vobsub comes now with Textsub, so you can work with *.ssa scripts in Avisynth itself. No need to use a VirtualDub filter any longer. If your source is YUY2 you will notice the speed increase.

    wish I would have known that last night...I just started an encode using the VD_subtitler w/avisynth
    oh well...
