Hey there,
I have this video file on .ts format.
It contains advertisements at the beginning and the end. In addition, audio is somewhat faster than the video.
Here what I did:
1. I trimmed out the necessary part using Avidemux. It seems to recognize and cut i-frames correctly with Ffmpeg.
2. I delay the audio to 100ms using Ffmpeg command line.
ffmpeg.exe -i [input.ts] -itsoffset 0.1 -i [input.ts] -vcodec copy -acodec copy -map 0:0 -map 1:1 [output.ts]
3. Video played okay but playtime was incorrect. Playtime shown in the media player was shorter than the actual content.
Regardless of its playtime, it continued to play till the end.
Please advise me if I did something wrong.
4. Alternatively, I used eac3to to demux the file, and mux that into MKV container.
While splitting and muxing it, MKVToolnix seems to fail to delay the audio properly.
Any suggestion?
Here's the Mediainfo of the original.

Hi,
You may try to sinc play time with VLC.
You play the video and press J to go forward and K to go backward.
Each hit will move the sound by 50 ms.
When you feel you're synchronized ,just re-record your video.
To do so: Click on View/advanced controls.
A brand new recording button will appear to you.
Set up the destination file, first. Tools/preferences/readings-codecs/capture files.
P.S. The names of the tabs and descriptions might be slightly different as my VLC version is in French. -
TSDoctor will demux it for you and eliminate any transmissions errors, same for VideoRedo Suite....... just *might* be ok in the free program ProjectX altho the bit rate might defeat it. You can get trial versions. Also Womble will edit and or demux altho you will lose subtitles if that's important. TSDoctor is the best IMO especially since MPEG4 was introduced into Australian TV, prior to that I used ProjectX for tracks similar to yours but at a lower bit rate.
