I recently bought a Toshiba SD2800 DVD player (in San Francisco, USA). I also bought a copy of Dario Argento's "Opera" (fully legal, official copy). It won't play on the Toshiba, but plays fine in my PC DVD drive. The disk has a "0" region code (I know there is theoretically no such thing, but it is printed on the disk, nevertheless). The symptoms (besides not giving a picture) in the DVD player are: put disk in tray, close tray, the flourescent readout flashes "LOADING". There are no SD2800 hacks listed, and I tried some for the other Toshiba players, but nothing seems to do the trick. Any advice? I'm very new at this.
