I have began backing up some old tapes recently using the analog in on DV camocorders. I have 2 camcorders I have tried and they both do the same thing. One is a Sony DCR-TRV320 (Digital8 I know but I uses the DV codec) and the other is a DCR-PC55. They both only seem to output 32khz and not 48khz audio over the FireWire. I generally use VirtualDub to capture my DV footage and the audio always comes in 32khz. Both cameras are set to 16bit and the captured audio is 16bit but only the 32khz. Any help in understanding this would be much appreciated. Thanks.
