    I have a Philips vcr model VR6557/05,the tracking buttons do not appear to be working,what can[with my little knowledge of the machine] I do to rectify the problem?

    This model only uses the remote buttons as I recall. Sounds like the buttons are worn out. You will need to open the remote and clean the membrane switches.
