I got this machine out after a couple of years sitting around. Played a couple of discs just fine. Next day, it won't play, and the tray won't open to let me get the disc out.
Is there a way to remove the disc without destroying the player? I may want to repair it later, but first I want the disc.

    Thanks!

There is usually a small hole in the disc tray or below it. Take a large size paper clip and straighten it, then push it into the hole about an inch or two and the tray should open.

If that fails, remove the top cover and see if the tray can be accessed that way.

    Thanks!
No pinhole on this one. Guess I'll have to break out the tools.

Likely the o-ring that opens/closes the drawer has snapped. A rubber band can be used but a replacement,o-ring should be aquired. Also possible a plastic "finger" at the rear of the drive has popped out of position, this can happen if brute force was used to close the drawer.
