its a divx file i used tmpgenc to convert it to normal mpeg and it loses synch due to a bad frame how do i fix this?
Static is in the minds and hearts of all mankind the sad part is... that we never fully comprehend the concept that is static.

  2. What exactly do you mean by a bad frame and how did you fix it. If you removed corrupted frames from your Divx file then you must have removed quite a few (10 or more?) for loss of sync to be noticeable. There can be many other reasons for loss of audio sync. Is the audio faster or slower than the video, is the loss of sync gradual or sudden. Whne you used TmpGenc to convert to Mpg, did you change the framerate?

Load AVI into Vdub 1.49, select Video > scan video stream for errors
Now select video streaming and audio streaming. and save as, save out another movie2.avi and use that to convert

  4. Ok, So Vdub has removed some bad frames and now the video is shorter than the audio. All I can suggest is that you seperate tha audio from the video (using vdub) then use a suitable audio handling program (BeSweet, Sonic sound forge etc) to shrink the audio so that its length matches the video. This is not perfect as I suspect the audio will then drift in and out of sync as you go past the sections with frames removed, but it will probably be better than what you currently have.

Says who, it removes a small section of the audio as well.

when was the last time you cut a chunk of video out, but it left the audio behind ?
