i've been up all night trying to sort the whole SVCD process out...
i managed to make very SVCD compliant MPEG2's using Astarte MPack and Mplex to mux. (after many failed attempts in cleaner)
using vcdtoolsx, i am able to make a semi-functioning svcd by creating a .bin file out of the mpeg and burning it as a disc image in toast. however when i try this batching more than 1 mpeg file together, the video ends up being extremely choppy and messed up. it also appears all on 1 track, which i don't want.
several tutorials i've found, including this famous one, claim that it's possible to create SVCD's in Toast's multi-track XA mode with .img or .iso files. i tried using both vcdtoolsx, and fireburner (under virtual pc) to create both of these, and my dvd/svcd player refuses to play it.
i'm following the steps for the "proven" methods exactly, and none of it is working. has anyone had any experience/success in this process? thanks in advance!
