can anyone tell me the difference between the 'system' and 'elementary stream settings in the outputmultiplexer section of tmpenc please?
not sure what is best. i want sound and vision together but there are these two choices
Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays! or rip iTunes movies!

The quality is exactly the same between the two settings. Which you choose depends on your goal.
System muxes the video and audio together to create a single .mpg file.
Elementary does not mux. The output is a video .mpv file and the audio is a .mpa/.ac3 file.
Some DVD authoring programs require elementary streams and do not accept system streams.
Elementary streams can be muxed after encode to create a .mpg, and a .mpg can be demuxed to get the elementary streams.
