Out of curiosity, what's the thin horizontal line we see in a VHS audio spectogram in upper part of both channels?

Yeah I've seen that too on VHS, both the mono linear track and on the stereo HiFi track. Also seen it on other tape based audio recordings. Not sure what it is.

It looks like the video's horizontal sync pulses leaking into the audio. As pandy pointed out 15625 (625 * 25) Hz for PAL. ~15734 (525 * 29.97) Hz for NTSC.
