    Hello!

I installed XviD4PSP to rip DVD but whenever I put SAR value in the x264 cli for example
(--sar 8:9) it doesn't accept it and gives me 5:4 instead of 4:3 (1.33), any idea? Thanks in advance

  2. --sar only flags the file, it doesn't actually resize. The player has to read the tags and resize on playback. So coded resolution may stay 5:4 but display may be 4:3.
MediaInfo should show both coded resolution as well as display aspect ratio.

  3. It's telling you not to use 8:9

Seriously though..... 16:9 DVDs tend to use the generic PARs but 4:3 DVDs tend to use the mpeg4/ITU PARs, making them a little wider than 1.333 (1.364:1).
If you sort out the problem give --sar 10:11 a try. http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?p=1058927#post1058927
